Christmas Shopping, Wagamama, Cocktails & Cakes in Manchester

So my boyfriend and I have recently got a beautiful little Pug puppy named Comet. We named him this because we absolutely love Christmas, so why not name him after one of the reindeers?! It was also a fitting name as we both have a secret geeky love of all things space. Anyway, as amazing as puppy motherhood is, it’s quite hard to get out at the moment as he’s way too young to be left on his own at all. So yesterday my boyfriend looked after him for the whole day on his own and I had a well deserved Christmassy day out in Manchester. Yes, my boyfriend does have to keep reminding me that it’s only still October…

Selfridges Trafford Centre

First stop was Selfridges to do a little bit of Christmas shopping. I’ve bought most of my gifts for everyone already this year (super organised, I know) but I wanted to do some special shopping for our first Christmas tree this year, as we moved in together a few months ago. Christmas means so much to me, it’s my favourite time and I’ve been majorly excited to have my own tree for so long; so I’m going to go all out with it this year. Check out these beautiful White Company baubles!

The White Company Christmas

I literally shopped until I dropped in Selfridges, they’d just decorated it all up for Christmas, and it was perfect. I picked up a Blackberry & Bay scented candle from Jo Malone, a Charlotte Tilbury lipstick to add to my collection (shade bitch perfect), a little extra Christmas gift for my boyfriend, a diffuser from The White Company (my favourite!) and also some of the Pomegranate room spray. Whilst I was there I also checked out the new H&M home section, it’s so lovely! Everything looks amazing and really high quality, but the prices are very reasonable. I then headed over to Lush to stock up on some more of the Christmas products, whilst I was there I picked up a Sugar Plum Fairy lip scrub too which I noticed when I was at the till – so Christmassy.

After all that shopping I was in desperate need of a re fuel and Wagamama is normally the choice for me. Chicken Katsu curry is always one of my favourite meals and it was the perfect time to rest my feet from all that walking around and catch up with two of my lovely friends.

Wagamama Manchester

Manchester city centre was next on the agenda for a mooch around. Have you seen all the beautiful Halloween decorations? It looked brilliant and got me really excited for next weekend. I then met up with my other wonderful friend and we went over to try the new Menagerie restaurant. Don’t worry guys, I did have a few hours between that and my Wagamama!

This place is so quirky, exciting and pretty. Just check out the decor! The food is pretty good too. I went for a Konnichiwa cocktail, then we had lots of little hot and cold plates to share. This obviously then had to be finished off with their fabulous funfair themed dessert. It’s great for sharing as it has two of everything; including candyfloss, toffee popcorn and mini toffee apples – wow those little toffee apples were seriously something special. We rounded the day off with a quick cocktail in Australasia and then it was home for a long soak in the bathtub, obviously with one of my new Lush additions.
