Rediscovering Some Leeds Favourites

IMG_7578.JPG

I’ve been out and about in Leeds quite a bit this month, and I feel as if I’ve focused my attention on some firmly favourite haunts around the city when it comes to choosing where to eat and drink…

Brunch at Bills

Bills Restaurant serve breakfast all day everyday up until midday. They have a pretty cool menu too, and my favourite offering on there has to be the avocado toast… and whilst this all looks pretty healthy, what I forgot to photograph (as I was too busy with my face in it) was the chocolate brownie milkshake – topped with whipped cream and a flake – that I washed it all down with. Everything in moderation, right?!

Non Alcoholic Cheesecake Martinis at Angelica

Literally to die for, and priced at just £5 each. They’re very much a dessert cocktail, but they’re so scrummy – they actually taste just like a cheesecake. Many of you will be pleased to know that they offer an alcoholic version of the drink too.

Bar Soba Bottomless Supper

We celebrated my lovely friend Laura’s birthday this weekend by indulging in the bottomless supper over at Bar Soba. Happy birthday Laura! Adding a twist on the new bottomless brunch trend, for £35 each you get to enjoy a hhhhhhuge sharing platter of delicious Thai food, followed by a main of your choice – always the Katsu Curry for me. Along with this, you have two hours of unlimited prosecco, bellini’s, mimosa’s, or a variety of mojitos. We had such a good night, albeit the service was a bit slow – but the value for money on this one, the lovely atmosphere and gorgeous food will bring me back very soon.

Lunch and Cocktails at The Alchemist

A hugely popular joint in Leeds, The Alchemist offers a really simple menu full of our favourite home cooked delights. It’s the perfect spot for lunch, as the food is relatively cheap compared to a lot of places, but they don’t scrimp whatsoever on the quality. Wash it all down with something from the extensive cocktail menu. We opted for a huge selection of starters to share between us, highlights being the pork crackling and prawn lollipops. Yum!
