I bleat on about it every year, but I genuinely love Valentines Day. I think it has a lot to do with the colour palette, and also the fact that everything just seems to start becoming a little bit brighter around this time of the year. I’ve always gone all out with things for Valentines day, even when I’m single – it’s the perfect excuse to treat yourself. Over the past month or so, I’ve picked up loads of gorgeous pink and red bits, and I thought they’d make for a lovely little haul collection.
I forgot to add it in the picture above, but I managed to pick up the limited edition Diptyque roses three wick candle – it’s such a beautiful pink colour, and once the candle has burned, it can be used as a little vase for flowers.
I’m not sure if anyone got the chance to grab a pair of these, but Nike brought out a valentines limited edition pair of Air Max trainers. I have so many pairs of Air Max, as they’re my favourite trainer, and I like collecting them in different colours – so I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw these ones. I think they sold out pretty fast, so I’m really glad I managed to get a pair.
I’ve decided that once I pass my final audit exam, I’m going to treat myself to a pink Lady Dior handbag, and so in “preparation” I also got myself the card wallet / purse too – I’ve actually been trying to get this for months and months, and I’ve had the money set to one side, but the colour is always sold out – then a few weeks ago I managed to grab one.
I also grabbed some plates from my favourite brand Hotel Magique – they make such lovely little cake and side plates; a gorgeous satin / silk red cami from Cami NYC, and another bottle of the Sam McNight Texture Mist, as it’s my favourite and I had ran out.
I’m going to do a proper review post on this – but did anyone see the Rose Prick collection Tom Ford released for Valentines Day? I adore that fragrance anyway (I have a bit of a thing at the moment for TF perfumes), but the lipsticks, oh my goodness – I had to get one, that packaging is to die for! There are two shades, and I got the lighter of the two – Indian Rose.
