Breakfast at Fettle Leeds

Fettle Leeds

I’m constantly looking for new gorgeous food venue discoveries, and stumbling upon Fettle was such a treat! Tucked away down Great George Street (near the Crown Courts), you’d be forgiven for missing it – but that would be a real shame, as Fettle is one of those hidden gems that you’ll want to return to again and again.

It’s almost easy to forget you’re actually in Leeds, once you step off the street into their stunning location. It’s calm, its relaxed, it’s classy and it’s cool. Healthy organic food takes precedence here, and they have a huge range of offerings for vegan and gluten free diners too. It’s exactly what Leeds needed, and I look forward to seeing them thrive, which I have no doubt they will do.

Early bird breakfast is served Monday – Friday until 10am, and brunch daily until 3pm (4pm on weekends) – this in itself is a revelation – all day brunch, yes please! On my visit, I ordered the Avocado Toast – Seeded pumpernickel topped with lashings of avocado, and a poached egg; with a red velvet iced latte to wash it down with. Yep, a red velvet iced latte… I told you it was what Leeds needed!

The food was perfect, the service was spot on and the prices were decent too – I think it came to about £13 for the lot – so probably not somewhere I can dine at every day, but for a breakfast treat, absolutely. I’ll see you again real soon Fettle… you were a delight!
