The Fendi Peekaboo Mini

I’m not entirely sure why it’s taken me so long to introduce this bag to the blog, given how much I wear it… I’ve had this for just under a year now; and my goodness has it gotten its moneys worth. It’s classed as a “mini”, but I think small would have maybe been a better option in terms of wording, as it actually fits a hell of a lot inside it for such a “mini” size. That being said, I rarely, if ever, wear mine closed; so that may impact the amount that can fit – but I have no problem whatsoever with fitting an iPhone max, card holder, small makeup bag, perfume, key pouch, AirPods and car key inside – with space for a lot more to fit in.

Mine is in the dove grey colour, and is actually the only bag I own in a smooth leather. I’ve found the wear and tear on this to be amazing, with no issues at all – though that being said, I do really look after my handbags and don’t exactly throw them around. It’s probably also the most comfortable bag I’ve ever worn. It’s so light, when I wear it crossbody I actually forget I’m even carrying a handbag. It also has a top handle too, meaning that it can be worn different ways – the strap is generously adjustable as well, so it’s a great all rounder.

My only issue – though not so much of an issue that it makes me dislike the bag – is that I find the strap pretty flimsy; I haven’t had any issues with it, but it just feels… well, I’m not sure, perhaps not a strap that you’d expect for such an expensive purchase. Again though, that being said – I think this may be intentional because seriously, the comfort of this is amazing, so maybe I shouldn’t be too quick to complain.

What I like best about the Peekaboo is how understated it is, there’s hardly any branding on it, and I love that unless you’re familiar with the iconic shape – then actually, no one would even know you’re wearing a designer handbag. I really do love that. This has been probably my most worn bag throughout 2021; definitely one I tend to wear in the day though, rather than on a night. Although if I had it in black, I think it would also get quite a bit of evening wear too. Hmmm… Santa?!
