Here’s the summer beach reads I’ve stuffed onto my kindle this year. Am I likely to get through all of them in one summer? I highly doubt it, but I’ll definitely be spoilt for choice…
Born For This – Caitlin Devlin – An aspiring actress gets the chance to play her famous aunt in a biopic, but starts to uncover some secrets about her family and what really happened in the past.
Strangers in the Villa – Robyn Harding – A couple head to Spain to try and save their marriage, and end up inviting two strangers to stay at their villa. Obviously, not the best idea.
Before We Were Innocent – Ella Berman – Three best friends go on holiday to Greece, but only two of them come home. Ten years later, what happened that summer starts to come back up again.
Yesterday – Caro Claire Burke – A former child star looking back at her past, and the things that happened behind the version of her life everyone else got to see.
Aesthetica – Allie Rowbottom – Follows a former Instagram influencer who decides to have surgery to reverse all of her previous cosmetic procedures, whilst looking back at her life online.
The Night Lagoon – Jo Morey – Set in Belize, this follows a woman living at her father’s jungle lodge, where things start to unravel and quite a few secrets come out.
Count My Lies – Sophie Stava – A woman who lies about pretty much everything manages to talk her way into the life of a wealthy family, but it turns out she’s definitely not the only one lying.
The Real Deal – Caitlin Devlin – Another one centred around fame and the lives we see online, and what is actually going on behind all of it.
The Divorce – Freida McFadden – A woman’s husband leaves her for someone younger, and what starts as a pretty horrible divorce gets increasingly messy. It’s Freida McFadden, so I’m expecting plenty of twists.
Whatever Happened to Frances Stone? – Louise O’Neill – Centred around the disappearance of Frances Stone, and all of the secrets and questions about what actually happened to her.

Lost in the Garden – Adam S. Leslie – Three friends travel to a mysterious village for its summer festival, but their trip gets stranger and stranger as they become cut off from the outside world.
Selfish Girls – Abigail Bergstrom – Three women living together in London whose friendship starts to fall apart after one of them brings a man home, uncovering secrets between them.
Just for Today – Nell Hudson – A group of friends spend a summer living together in London, drinking, partying and trying to avoid thinking too much about what comes next.
So Good to See You – Francesca Hornak – A group of old friends reunite for a weekend away, but there are plenty of things between them that haven’t quite been forgotten.
Dear Debbie – Freida McFadden – Debbie spends her life giving other people advice about their problems, until things in her own life start going wrong and she decides to take some of that advice herself.
The Snowbirds – Christina Clancy – A couple escape the winter for Palm Springs, but when one of them suddenly disappears, questions start to come up about their relationship and what actually happened.
Social Engagement – Avery Carpenter Forrey – A woman wakes up the morning after her wedding with no idea where her husband is, then looks back over the past year to work out how she ended up there.
