I Did a Glossier Haul

I totally fell in love with Glossier again after the release of their Lidstar Eye Glows. That sleek, candy floss pop of pink packaging got me all hyped up again for the brand; and so my fingers got the better of me, and off I went tap tap tapping away with a little mini haul. Now, before I begin, if you’re a skim-reader and don’t want to indulge in reading the full post, there’s a 10% off link here for all Glossier products (discount is applied at the checkout). Enjoy!

Anyway, enough jabbering about discount codes… what did I buy? First two to hit my basket were the Milky Jelly Cleanser, and their new exfoliating skin perfector – Solution. Now trust me, nobody was as excited as me to hear that Glossier were releasing an exfoliator, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it and give it a road test. I’ve been using this for about two weeks now, and so far so good – I have noticed a subtle, positive difference in my skin, yes; and I haven’t had any adverse side affects to speak of. Right now, I like it. However two weeks really isn’t long enough to give a full review of a skincare product, I’d like to finish the bottle ideally, before recommending it to anyone. I’ve seen some really rave reviews on it, but I’ve also seen some not too great ones; and it’s so important to me to only recommend the best products that I really do swear by and love, over on my little internet space here; so watch this space for a full review.

The Milky Jelly Cleanser I have actually used before – is it completely life changing? No. Is it a pleasant, effective, and quite fun addition to my skincare routine? Yes. I don’t actually use this every single day – I much prefer cream cleansers, so instead I keep a bottle of this in the shower for when I’ve been to the gym. I think I’ll pair this with the Solution for a full in depth review once I’ve used both alongside each other a little more; so again, stay tuned…

Another one I’d like to do a full and in depth post on (sorry!), is the new You fragrance. Mainly because it’s pretty incredible, yet also one of the strangest (in a really good way) perfumes I’ve ever purchased. It’s kind of hard to summarise in just the one paragraph, and I really want to do this perfume justice, so I’ll get a full post put together on this once I’ve had a few more wears. But honestly, first impressions are wow. I also wasn’t sure about the bottle either, the red lid just looked a bit garish to me on the website – but in person, it’s so much classier and beautiful – and the red, well it just works. ILY Glossier, I really do.

To round off my mini haul I threw two lip products into the mix. An old favourite, and a new addition. The original balm.com I’ve been using for a good few years now (this has been available to purchase on Net a Porter for ages, way before the full brand release here in the UK), and whilst the flavoured options are fab, I just keep coming back to the original over and over again. Not sure why I’d never tried this one before, but the Lip Gloss found itself winging its way into my basket too. I suppose because gloss hasn’t really been that big over the past couple of years, it’s been all about the matte lip, but a glossy lip is starting to make a bit of a come back; and if I’m being completely honest, I couldn’t resist the gorgeous packaging. Slightly disappointed in this one, due to the fact I envisaged it smelling and tasting exactly like sugary candy floss – nowhere on the website does it actually say this – but me being me, just assumed it would due to the packaging. Anyway, it doesn’t have any smell or taste to it, but it does give you a seriously high shine, non sticky lip; and so anyone who isn’t expecting candy floss will love it.

Have you guys tried Glossier yet? Are you as much of a packaging sucker as I am? I’d love to know…

Sorry I didn’t give a full, detailed review on the skincare products just yet – but your face is  i m p o r t a n t  and I only want to recommend the best. But please do keep your eyes peeled for a candy pink bottle of Solution appearing on the blog, all in its own glory, sometime in the not so distant future.
