Beauty Favourites and New Discoveries

Rare Beauty Foundation and Soft Pinch Blush Brush – Would they replace my trusty MAC collection? No. But, they are really good brushes for the price point, and I am interested in adding some more to my collection. Rare Beauty are doing some really good stuff, aren’t they!

Drunk Elephant Rosi Drops – Everyone is going crazy for the bronzi drops, but I adore the rosi drops so so much more. Just perfect for those “no makeup makeup” days. Add a flush of colour, and a hint of shimmer. So pretty.

Summer Fridays Lip Butter – Oooh this is niiiiiccceeeee. Wish I had discovered this stuff ages ago! I keep one on my vanity, and one on my bedside table. More of a lip mask consistency, but very very good as far as lip balms go.

Fenty Beauty Diamond Bomb – So I’d go as far as to say, this might be in my top three makeup products of all time. It’s the body shimmer I’ve searched high and low for. In a powder format (what I wanted!) and pays off like no other. Where has this been all my life?!

Rare Beauty Always an Optimist Hydrating Mist – I wouldn’t say this is a drop everything and run product. It performs well, but it doesn’t out perform others. That being said, it is a lovely product to use, and I’m glad I purchased it. Is it going to change the game? Not for me, but do I like the product? Yes I do.

Byoma Moisturisers – Well these are a bit of a revelation! Such an amazing price point, £13 ish for the day cream, £15 ish for the evening cream. Very impressive for the price, though the packaging for the evening cream really needs to be re worked – it’s an absolute nightmare to get out! The day cream isn’t as hydrating as I personally need, but the evening cream, for the price 8/10 to be honest. Very, very good.

PLouise Liquid Blush – Okay, so I thought these were a tacky, cheapo TikTok shop fad for ages, and put off even considering them. But actually, they’re not. They’re good, great even – especially given you can buy three of them for about £18 ish. Fantastic, unique, fun colours, and have really opened my mind more to liquid blush. I shouldn’t have judged these.

MAC Lightful Hydrating Micellar Water – Mac skincare is really under rated, I’ve been screaming about their offerings to my friends for years – I feel like everyone obviously knows the brand for their makeup, but they do make some very, very good skincare products, and they’re actually very reasonably priced for their performance too. I’m loving this cleansing water for removing any last traces of makeup and dirt, once I’ve done my original cleanse. Makes my skin feel nice and plumped too. I’ll buy this one again when I run out.

Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Crush Cheriosa 40 Perfume Mist – Whilst I haven’t got along with some of their other fragrance offerings, number 40 I find stunning. It’s a mist, so it’s not going to perform as well as a perfume. But, you know what, for what I’d label a “body spray” this is actually very good. A gorgeous, grown up, sophisticated scent, that also layers incredibly well with Le Labo Santal 33.
