My Favourite Chocolate and Sweets

One of life’s greatest pleasures… I am the BIGGEST chocoholic ever, I would literally live on it if I could, and so I thought I’d make a little list of the best of the best (in my opinion!). I can assure you it’s a pretty good list though… I’ve tried a lot.

Charbonnel et Walker Truffles

Got to be my number one, my gosh they are incredible. I get them every birthday, Christmas, Valentines without fail – and if I had no one to gift me them, I would gift myself them! Conveniently they are actually just round the corner from my dentist, and so I always buy myself a “well done” treat – which let’s be honest is just an excuse… every time I go. Notable flavours are  the banoffee truffles, pink himalayan salted caramel, and the coconut truffles. But to be fair, you can’t really go wrong with any flavour from Charbonnel, they are divine.

Harvey Nichols Sweetie Collection

If you try one thing in your life, ever, make it the really chocolatey fudge, because my GOODNESS it’s a dream. Seriously! Such an underrated sweet collection – though I do get that it’s really not the first place anyone would think to go for some sweets. The coconut ice is also incredible – in fact it’s actually one of my favourite things… ever! I honestly don’t know what I’d do if they ever discontinued it. The milk chocolate toffee and salted caramel pecans are also really special, too.

Hotel Chocolat Biscuit Selection

Another secret little entrant here – I don’t think most people even know Hotel Chocolate do biscuits, which is a real shame because they’re honestly some of the best biscuits, ever! So thick and so so chocolatey, they really are to die for. Sadly, they are really expensive, too! But 100% worth a special occasion treat every now and again.

Hot Chocolate

Note the collective title, because I have a lot! Hot chocolate is hot chocolate, there’s not too much I can say about it – it’s bloody brilliant – well, when you get the right one it is. I’ve tried a lot, again, and can safely say that these offerings are by far the best there are (ps. always ignore the serving size instructions and add at least half extra! Charbonnel et Walker (this one didn’t used to be so good, but they recently upgraded their recipe and it’s really good now; Knoops, Hotel Chocolat (ALL the flavours, but especially salted caramel – particularly excellent made into an iced drink with the Velvetiser), and I Should Cocoa (the salty flavour).
