The Rhode Summer 2026 Collection – An Honest Review

I’m going to keep this one relatively short, as I feel like by now, we’re all aware of the products themselves, the ingredients, formulas and benefits, so this is going to be my opinion on the new shades, my favourites, and items I think you can live without.

Terry Bag – Let’s start with the product we all lost our minds over. It’s a double lined, zip up makeup bag / pouch. Really roomy, gorgeous texture, and pretty innovative in terms of makeup bag design (due to the material). I’m glad I got it. However, if you didn’t get it, honestly – I think you’re fine. As soon as the next launch comes along, this one will be forgotten about, and something else shiny and new, promising you a reinvented glowy girl life will come along – and everyone will decide that they need that product, instead. It’s a great bag, but the brand will release something new in another season or two, don’t get too caught up in the consumerism hype.

Pocket Bronze – These have been long awaited… and they’re good. They’re basically the exact same formula as the blushes, they blend out like a dream, and can be as sheer or as built up as you like. The shade range has been really inclusive too, which is really refreshing to see from a beauty brand. However, do I think they offer anything different to what’s already out there on the market in terms of cream bronzers? No I don’t. So if you don’t have a bronzer, and are looking to purchase one – this is a great choice. However, if you already have a cream bronzer stick that you’re happy with and working your way through, I don’t think you need to go out of your way to grab this one right now.

Highlight Milk – I got shades 1 and 2. Shade 1 is low on the shimmer, and adds more of a “glow”, it has a nice touch of pink highlight in it. It’s lovely, but again, nothing stand out to what’s already on the market. It is mixed with the glazing milk – which I love, and have purchased on repeat for about four years now – so I love the fact that it’s a skincare hybrid, but the mica used in it tends to make the hydrating factor less prominent. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still wonderfully hydrating – but the original glazing milk wins here for the skincare element – and that’s why I don’t believe it stands out too much over other products already out there. Shade 2 however, whilst it has the exact same formula, and skincare feel – the mica (shimmer) in this has been ramped up, and it makes this one much more unique. I’ll be purchasing this one again and again. It is however very similar to the Saie glowy gel (just a different consistency) so you perhaps don’t need both. All that being said, I’ll likely re purchase both shades, but I just don’t think shade 1 is a life changer, and you can definitely save yourself some money here.

Peptide Lip Tints – I got the shades Honey Mango and Colada. Hmm. They’re fine. I could have done without though in all honesty. Both shades tend to sheer out to pretty much the same colour if used lightly. I also wasn’t blown away by the scents. Colada gave me more of a creamy dessert vibe (much like vanilla), and I barely detected any coconut or pineapple. Honey Mango did smell like mango, but I found it had quite an artificial mango scent and taste to it. I know we don’t buy them to eat them… but the scent descriptions were the major selling points on these. If you’re after something sheer and nudey – brown, go for it – but again, if you already have numerous tinted balms and glosses in similar shades, you can honestly give these a miss.
